Wire/Material

Wire/Material

We develop automotive wires and materials. Designing a fundamental theory and a basic concept is followed by our development of not only required materials but also processing techniques of those materials.
In response to the rise in the copper price and growing demand for light weight vehicles, we have been developing various types of aluminum wires. The ballooning needs for connectivity, autonomous driving, and vehicle electrification surely increase the number of circuits used in a vehicle in the future. Based on this trend, we approach research and development for wires and wire materials focusing on diameter reduction and space saving.

Aluminum wire

Our aluminum alloy wires contribute to weight reduction since their specific gravity difference with a copper wire is 1/3.

High strength aluminum Wire

Our high-strength aluminum wire that provides strength and flexibility better than a copper wire is used for engine wire harnesses.

Large gauge aluminum Wire

Our heat resistant large gauge aluminum wires meet the current and future high demand for this type generated by vehicle electrification. We are promoting further development for higher voltage/current application.

Thin Wire

(The first from the right) We have developed a 0.13mm2 copper-alloy wire, responding to customer requirements such wire splicing.
(The second from the right) Stainless steel is used in the enter of our unique wire aiming to make it thin and light for low voltage signal lines.
We research and develop wire materials tailored to the requirements of our customers.

Materials

Our development of reliable materials underpin our products. Examples include rubber sealing materials for waterproof connectors and adhesive materials adaptable for various products.
